I can not open my yahoo mail.

Unable to open .doc attachment in Yahoo mail but I can in Yahoo Classic?

I recently had to do a complete reload of Windows XP due to a virus. After this, I re-installed all the software like Adobe and also installed a new anti-virus (BitDefender). Now, I cannot open .doc attachments in Yahoo mail. I get the "download scan page", then the "Open or Save" page but when I click Open, it does nothing (can't Save it either) I must either switch back to 'Yahoo mail Classic' or forward it to my Outlook account and open it from there. I tried to disable the "scan incoming messages" from BitDefender but that didn't help. How can I make it so I can view my .doc attachments from the 'new' yahoo mail ?
