Why cannot I attach document to email?

Why won't a document attach to an email?

• I'll try to attach a document and sometimes it'll say the document is attaching but it will continue to load indefinitely (one time I left it overnight and still it failed to load). I just need to know why this happens (I'm on Yahoo mail) and how I can fix it to avoid having to troubleshoot with the system.

  OK... here's the problem. You don't say what file format the document is, and you don't say what size the file is... both important pieces of information that can possibly be the reason why your file isn't attaching. One thing you should never do, is just leave a document in that state overnight, or even for an hour. Anything should attach in less than a minute, depending on the size. If not, stop it. You don't want to do damage to your computer. There are file types that you can't attach, and there are file size limits when it comes to attachments. For Yahoo! mail, the maximum total (of multiple attachments of one attachment) is 10MB. If it's larger than that, you can't attach it. Other than those possibilities, it's impossible to say one the problem might be without those details (file type and size).
