I am Having problems downloading and opening xls DOCS on attachments on Yahoo .Can anyone HELP me on this?

In my yahoo Account, my browser is version 7 , my softwear is xp home 2002 . Service pack 3 , dont know if this info helps, as i am clueless when it comes to this sort of thing!!
