How do I view attachments?

How to view attachments with new Yahoo Mail?

  • Since the new Yahoo Mail, I am unable to view attachments in e mails without downloading them to my computer first. I've done a search on Help and all the questions and answers seem to be from issues 3-4 years ago. Need a more recent answer to this new problem please.

    I believe that the only thing you can view online are pictures. Anything else is always downloaded. It may be to a temporary file so be careful. Many people edit the temp version of Word documents only to find that everything is lost. You should always download attachments to view them. ʎəɿʞɹɐq  ̊ ͜͡● ̊

I am very unhappy at losing the thumbnails of photo attachments in the new yahoo email. I did things like clear cache but nothing helps. I get a stylized icon instead of the picture thumbnail. HELP. THIS IS VERY VERY VERY IRRITATING AND LIMITS MY USE OF YAHOO MAIL!

You are supposed to be able to view the photos. That is a basic part of your email service. Notify help.yahoo.com so they have a record. There are lots of problems with attachments since Yahoo introduced the new mail. You are not alone. See if you can see them by going to m.yahoo.com or by clicking on the blue Mail icon at the upper right of this page (only works occasionally).
