Why cant I save pictures crom my yahoo messenger mobile app to my Samsung Galaxy S?

I can recieve pictures to the phone and view them from messenger but I cant save them to my phone to send them to other people or view them without opening my messenger mobile app. When I open the photos from messenger my options button doesnt do anything. Messenger saves automatically all my conversations so i havent lost anything yet but I have to dig through weeks worth of messages to find the photos.

Don't think galaxy s is capable to save pics from message programs yet.
