How can I open a jpeg file?

How can I convert .jpeg file to .doc?

  • I scan a text file in jpeg format. But now I have to edit the text file. How can I convert?

  • Answer:

You are going to have to run OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in order to convert it to text. The easiest way is to simply re-scan it and make sure your scanner is set to OCR mode. You can also import the image into Adobe Acrobat and run OCR from there - it requires the full version, though, not just the reader.

Other answers

1. JPG is an IMAGE file. 2. DOC is a TEXT document with special formatting. It's impossible to convert JPG to DOC. You need to follow the advice above by Dave Naylor (OCR). You can convert JPG to PDF if that helps. or you can right click JPG and open with notepad.

You need optical character recognition software to do this. You can try SmartOCR, it's one of the latest software. http://www.smartocr.com

You can copy the jpg file and paste it into a Word document and save it as a .doc.
