The new yahoo format will not let me add pictures into an email. Is there a trick to embed a picture now?
-
The normal copy and paste does not work. I don't want to send the picture as an attachment, because it needs to go in with our meeting minutes. This has been a normal procedure before August 1, this year. I use Firefox and it worked before yahoo changed their format this past month. I scrolled down in email for a Help feature and found something at the bottom left called Picnik that you have to join, sign in and share your photos. Jees, read their policy statement!!!! What's with this nonsense? All I need to do is add one photo from our group's meeting to show either our new member or a guest. I need a quick fix.

Answer:
INSERT 1. The first thing to do before you can add an image to a Yahoo email is to upload the image to a web server if it does not already exist on one. Do a Google search for "free image hosting" and choose one that meets your needs. 2. Make sure to use rich text formatting in Yahoo mail. Otherwise you won't be able to get it to display properly. Most likely your account is set to use rich text automatically. When you click on the "Compose" button to start a new message, there is underlined text below the subject box and next to the "Attach files" button. This just toggles the setting between rich text and plain text. If it says "Plain Text," then it is already set to rich text and clicking on "Plain Text" will toggle it to plain text. If it says "Rich Text," then click on it to set it to use rich text. 3 Go to the web page containing the image. Highlight the image with your cursor so that the image is shaded. Copy and paste it directly into the body of the email where you want the image to be seen. It will display the image itself in the email you are sending. If it displays only the URL, it didn't work and you should try it again. Make sure to highlight only the image itself and copy and paste it with your keyboard commands. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/ask/ask-55794.html Source http://www.ehow.com/how_4721694_insert-image-yahoo-email.html#ixzz1V2e7QU2Z
