How to send picture message when there is no media available?

How do you send a picture attachment so that the picture doesn't show up with the message?

I am trying to send pics of some jewelry to friends. When you open the message there are the pics there. When you click on the pics then it asks you to download them and when you do you can see the beautiful patterns. Will people go to the trouble of downloading a picture when you can see the picture that was sent? How do I send it so that it is just letters and numbers so that they can have no idea what the pics look like. Or do I have to send the pics with a message asking people to download them so that you can see the iridescent shell coating on the shells?
Answer:

Good idea to just add a note telling them to download the pics for full effect. Easier for you also. Shouldn't be a problem for recipient
