Why doesn't the recipients email address appear when I insert their name? How do I change back?
-
I am so frustrated with this new Yahoo format. I want to change back and can't. I want to know why when I input my recipients name, their email address doesn't appear in the recipient's box. This is really important as some friends have more than one email address and I need to check before sending the email that I have clicked on the correct one. I am also not happy with the new choice of type face as my favourite one is no longer there.

Answer:
Change Yahoo Mail versions to Classic Mail ... the new 'Regular Mail' still does not work well with some computers. The easiest way to switch back to Yahoo Classic is to use either of the following link each time you open your mail - save the Bookmark as a Favorite. http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/switchclassic http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch (This link is faster.) Yahoo wants everyone to switch to the newest version, so has disabled any links to change back, as of May 31. There are now only two choices - the former Beta, now called Regular Mail, and the old Classic Mail. The former 'All-New' mail has disappeared, replaced by Beta. The change back to Classic can be done with a small (temporary) change. Either disable Javascript or lower the screen resolution. Log out of your account before trying these, then log in afterwards. Once you have switched back to Classic Mail, change these settings back again. 1. For Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom level. In the scripting section, disable active scripting. For Firefox and Chrome, go to Tools > Options > Content and un-check Enable JavaScript. This solution is not successful with all versions of Windows 7. 2. Lower the screen resolution one stage at a time in the Control Panel > Personalization > Display section. (Normally it is 1024 x 768 or higher).Once it is too low, when you open Mail you are asked to switch to Mail Classic > click Yes. There will be some waiting, flashing, and scrolling, but the screen shows up eventually. If all else fails, try contacting Yahoo! Customer Service, but you will need to be persistent to talk to a human, and must 'insist' on switching versions USA (6am to 6 pm, Pacific Standard Time) 1-866-562-7219, 1-800-318-0631, Yahoo Personal Email: 1-866-492-4664
