How insert a picture in my mail box?

How do I insert a picture into an e-mail I am composing?

• I do not have Yahoo Plus. I have tried highlighting a picture, selecting copy and then tried pasting it into my e-mail. I just get a blank box -- no picture. Someone said to go to the bottom of the e-mail for the "-" sign and click show graphics -- I do not see this "-" -- just a "+" for the calendar. Another answer said to click on "insert" and bring the picture into the e-mail via this method. I cannot find "insert" anywhere. These are all normal copy procedures for pictures in other programs and I have tried them previously and again today after reading the community answers. I would really like to insert pictures into my e-mails instead of always attaching them. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  Yahoo mail will not let you "paste" a picture into the body of the email when composing. You can ONLY attach pictures. OutLook Express will however let you do it. So, I know it's a pain, but what I do is compose my emails (with pictures) in OutLook, then mail them to myself at Yahoo, then forward them using my Yahoo address book. I've contacted Yahoo many times asking why they don't let you paste pictures directly into email messages, I never get a reply back. ▲
