How do i send attachments in an e mail?

  • New to all this and would appreciate your help. Want to send some photos that i've scanned.

  • Answer:

HI. You write your e-mail as you want to. Then click on 'attachments' in the e-mail tool bar - it could vary what it says, depending on which e-mail company you are with. It will ask you if you want to add an attachment. Click yes or 'add' than it will come up with a box for you to find your file you want to attach. Find the file and click on it. The 'attach' to the e-mail. Quite easy once you know what to do and where to fin the file you want to attach. For ease, to get you going, you could save the photo on the desktop and call it something you will find easily. Hope this helps! Good luck!

its easy... all you have to do is save the pictures to a file, and then go to your email like normal... click the 'attach' button, then you can browse through any file on your computer and attach it. just make sure its not over a certain number of MB, certain sites only let you transfer a certain amount at a time (like at my work we can only send out 7mb at a time). otherwise, have fun!

Once you've logged into your Yahoo! Mail account and begin composing a message, follow the instructions below to add an attachment: Click the "Attach Files" link located above the compose window. Click the "Browse" button and select a file. When you have selected a file, click the "Attach Files" button located towards the bottom of the page to attach it to your message. You will then see a file attachment confirmation page that will allow you to remove an attachment, if needed, by clicking on the "Remove" link located to the right of the file. Click on the "Done" button to attach the selected file(s) to your message To add multiple attachments, repeat steps 2 and 3. Once the files are attached, you can address, compose, and send the message as you normally would. Please note: You are not able to attach a single file multiple times to the same email message. You must use version 5.x or greater of Internet Explorer or 4.x or great of Netscape in order to send attachments. Of the different versions of IE, version 6.x seems to perform best at adding attachments. This is assuming you are using Yahoo mail.

Then look for the file where your pictures have been stored. You may have to add one picture at a time. Also depending on who you are sending to they may not be able to handle more than one. You can experiment by sending a picture to your self to see immediatly if it worked or not. Once you have found the file click on the open button on the file. Find the picture you want to add to the email click open then will add to your email list. these steps can be repeated until you all the pictures you can send. after email provider has checked for viruses and you have gotten all your pictures you needed.
