How can i email a large file and what does some terms mean?

  • the question that i have is what does the term bcc and Cc mean regarding sending an email and also how can i send a file over an email that is way too large like over 100 megabytes just so people know im trying to send a video but its too large so if any body can help me i would really appreciate it

  • Answer:

To send a large file through your Yahoo account, look on the left below your folder list. You'll see Applications and you click on "Attach Large Files". Enter the email address of your main recipient, and click "Select Files". Then click "Upload and Compose". You can enter additional email addresses in the Cc: (Carbon Copy) field if you think a few others need to see the message as well. In business, the person in the To: field may be expected to reply or continue the conversation whereas those in the Cc: field are only there to keep them informed. The Bcc: (Blind Carbon Copy) field is used when a message is going to a large number of recipients who may not know each other. Each person in that list will receive the message without discovering the names or email addresses of the other persons who are also getting it.

As I know, you can not attach and send large size of files through free email services, most of them limit files size to few Mb, you can not send over 100 Mb files through email. For another option, you may use file hosting services, upload your files there, get a download link, send it to your friends/receiver, and they can download it directly. Another option is connect your computer to receiver computer via wireless connection, you need remote desktop software this way, just install it on both computer, connect them via internet connection, and you can send file easily, even access another computer. Emails are not really suited to send large files. Try Binfer which specializes in large file transfers. It is as easy as email, but without the size limitation. You can send hundreds of file without reducing their size. And, you don't have to upload them anywhere, they transfer directly from person to person. The site is http://www.binfer.com
