Removal of yahoo my attachments and my photos?

How can I delete the attachments and photos that yahoo insists on keeping for me?

• There is a section in the email page that has "attachments" and "Photos". When you click on it, it shows ALL the attachments and photos that have come in, regardless of the length of time they've been there - they never go away. There is a little box next to each, and it seems as if this is a way to delete them, it looks identical to the little check box for deleting emails. But these cannot be deleted. How can I get rid of them? I store the photos I want to keep, in my own personal files on my PC. I don't need yahoo doing the storing for me, especially on a permanent basis. Please tell me how to remove them.

  If you would like to delete a photo or attachment it is necessary to delete the original email that contains the attachment/photo.
