Why can't I open attachments in my incoming emails?

I have emails saved in my in-box with attachments, pics and links,3 months old,i cant view attch anymore, why?

• when i used to click on the email the pictures or links would show below??? not they just dont show anything? have i lost all my attachments? thanks Diane

  Three possible problems: 1. Internet Explorer 8 2. Yahoo's All-New Mail 3. Anti-virus software Three solutions: 1. Re-install Internet Explorer 7 and wait for Microsoft to fix IE8. 2. Go back to Yahoo Classic Mail. 3. Disable browser add-ons added by your anti-virus software. More details on Solution 3: In Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Manage Add-ons, then Enable or Disable Add-ons. Scroll down through the list an look for the name of your AV software (if you have a Norton/Symantec product, look for Norton Confidential) and select it/them. In the lower left, click on Disable, then OK. Close all Internet Explorer windows. When you re-open Internet Explorer again, it should work. You should not have to re-start your computer.
