Why can't I open PDF attachments in my email?

I get the message "Unable to open internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." I can open the files on other computers. Also I am able to open PDF files that I have saved that I have not received thru email. I have seen similar question on Yahoo! Answers, but nothing has worked for me. I am looking for new ideas.

Answer:
it depends on how the software you use for email is set up. i use ms outlook, it allows me to view pdf documents from within outlook. my guess is you will have to download and/or save the attachment and then read it using the free acrobat reader
