How can I download photos to my computor from camera?

  • I have an olympus camera with photos in it but have lost the cd that goes on the computor. Is there another way of extracting the photos from camera to computor?

    Well your camera should have a connecting wire with an oblong usb plug on one end which gets plugged into the computer and a smaller plug on the other end which should go into the camera. If the computer does not pick up the camera immediately then you will have to visit the olympus website and search for the camera drivers to download onto your computer. Go to google or yahoo home page and type how to download pictures from olympus camera to computer in the search box.

It's quite easy actually. Just remove the memory media (SD, MiniSD, microSD, XD, Memory Stick, Compact Flash, etc) from the camera and purchase a simple USB adapter for that media. They are inexpensive and will allow you to hot swap your camera's memory cards between your computer and the camera.

You can go to the manufacturers web site and download the software if you really want it, but you should be able to access the pic using a USB wire. Good luck

They have free software you can use or just copy and paste from My Computer/Computer If it is an older camera that uses serial connection you may want to call them for answers.
