Why don't some photos open in the body of an e-mail?

  • Answer:

    Go to: Tool + Options + Security + Click off "Block images and other external contents in HTML e-mail:. You will then receive pictures instead of those dreaded red boxes.

i myself was having this problem for a while. i tried to do a search and came to this webpage. tried the settings recommended by another user. no use. did some research on my own and found out that yahoo spamguard blocks the images. when you login to your mail a/c, go to options on the top left side.. under the new window look for SPAM PROTECTION and click on it. a new window will open and you will see IMAGE BLOCKING in the bottom row.. there click on don't block any images ..and save changes. bingo.. it works
