Why can't I view images in some of my emails?

My friend sent me some jokes w/images i cant view the images it has a blank box with a red x in the corner?

    Yahoo is upgrading their websites and it is affecting a lot of us trying to send and receive pictures. We may just have to wait for them to come up with a solution. There are some work-arounds - Holding down the CONTROL key and clicking on the Forward button - is working for some people. A compose window opens and you can forward the message as a .eml file You could try this

When Sending embedded pictures: Next time, Hit & Hold the CTRL Key, then select Forward. It'll create a EML file and should work. Add your email affliliates and then send it. Had this issue myself. My recipients indicated that embedded pics showed up ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~… Regarding trying to view pictures that are nothing more than a White box with a Red "X": Place your cursor over the picture. Right click and select " Show Picture"
