How can I get an email alert on my desktop?

I want to know how to get pictures from the desktop to my email account?

• I have windows 7 - There are at least 3 place where they are listed and veiwed on the desktop, then I created another folder for the desktop. I have a toshiba, DX 1215. Ive been using hotmail, but can use my yahoo mail account if neccessary.

  First....In MAIL CLASSIC.....when in the NEW, FORWARD or REPLY mode(.For Beta/New mail version.see below) click on ATTACH located under the SUBJECT line. This will bring up five lines with the word BROWSE at the end of each one. When you click on BROWSE it will bring up the FILE UPLOAD screen. You will see in the LOOK IN box a location with all its contents below it. If what you want to attach is not located there then click on the down arrow on the right side of this box and it will bring up other locations..IE: MY RECENT DOCUMENTS, DESKTOP, MY DOCUMENTS, etc. Click on them one at a time until you find what you want to attach in the contents below. Once you find it click on it and it will go to the FILE NAME box near the bottom of the screen. Click on SAVE which places it in one of the BROWSE lines. Go above and click on ATTACH and it will be attached to your email. If you have more than one item follow the same procedure. Be careful not to exceed the 25 mb limit. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++… YAHOO MAIL BETA(New mail version) Click on ATTACHMENTS just below the subject line when in the NEW...REPLY...FORWARD mode. This will bring up ATTACH FILES just below it. click on that and follow the directions above to attach what you want. If you are not sure it was attached the name of the attachment should be at the top of the text area followed by an "X".
