Why can't I open any attachments from my Yahoo email?

  • In the last week or so I have lost the ability to open ANY attachments that are email to me at my Yahoo email address. There is definitely something wrong with Yahoo because if I forward those emails to my school email account, I have no problem opening the attachments there. Why can't I open attachments from my Yahoo account?

    Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. If all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

I too am having this problem, but only at home. I use my Yahoo account at work for personal email and I can open attachments there. This started about a week ago after I downloaded updates for Vista on my laptop, thinking that might be the cause. So I checked my desktop computer that still runs Windows 2000 and it's the same thing. My home provider is Verizon.

i am having the same problem too. as i look through the question under "yahoo mail" this seems to be a problem lots of people are having. if yahoo is having an issue i hope they get it fixed soon but it would be nice if they would let us know so everyone would know why this is happening. i have been trying all sorts of things till i seen how many of us are having the same problem. i opened a gmail account and i have been forwarding my mail with attachment to it and they open just fine so it seems to be yahoo.

First...go to MY ATTACHMENTS or MY PHOTOS and see if they are in there. If not...go to help.yahoo.com and see if you find help there You can also send an email to [email protected] and ask them. As a last resort enter that question in your browswer and website shud come up to provide an answer. good luck
