How do I delete attachments from incoming and outgoing e-mails?

How can i delete the attachments from my emails that are left on my computer?

  • i am on verizon yahoo email. after i delete an email the attachments are left in "an attachment" file, which you cannot delete. i do not want these attachments to remain and no one can figure out how to delete them because there are no options to do such.

with regard to yogi's answer, i wonder if he has ever done it, because I have a window washer and several other programs that delete, wash, and bleach temp files, internet history, etc., and none of them erase the "attachments and pictures" stuff shown on the yahoo email home page in the lower left corner... anyone else know how to eliminate this stuff..?
