How do you attach a folder to your email?

How can one attach a folder to an email and what is meant by zip file and how can it be created?

  • i am to attach a folder to an emal but don't how to effect such action.for the zip file, i a of creating one.

    write a mail and you will see a attach just click on that it will ask you what you wnt to attach, just click on the file you want to attach and click on attach... it will attach the file... Zip file means a big file, is being compacted or made small, so that it is easy to send you can just click on it again and say unzip it will show the files in it.. or you can zip it so the files can be compressed

You cannot attach a folder as such to an email. A ZIP file is a compressed file, possibly containing several files. The advantage of a zip file is that size is reduced dramatically and you can store numerous files together. See www.pkware.com for more info about the pkzip program which is used to produce zip files.

You normally dont attached a folder to a email. You would normally attached a file. Most email allows you to attached up to about 10MB. The menu usually looks something like "Attach File" or something. This will pop a new window and you can then browse your harddisk for the file you want to attached to the email. To zip a file used a software like WinZip or something similar. Search google.com for more.
