How do I delete photos in email under the photos tab- in email classic?

I have deleted the emails but the photos are still there under the photos tab. When I select the check box there is no selection for delete....HELP

you have to go to back to your email inbox. find the original emails that contain the pictures and delete them. i do it all the time.
