I got a text message and it say this: FREE_VZW_MSG: Messages sent to non-VZW customers with graphics/tone/fromattng and/ or 160 character character are sent as plain with only the first 160 characters What does that text message mean?

When you send a text message to somebody who is not using a verizon phone they only send the first 160 characters. More often then not they will send the remainder in a second message. when that happens they send you the above text message to let you know that your message was broken up.

it means that your message was over 160 characters long, and that cannot be formatted to fit requirements of other carriers. only 160+ can be sent verizon to verizon, not verizon to at&t, t mobile, etc etc
