How do you send an attatchment to an e-mail?

Why can i not send a photo via email attatchment to a friend. The picture is only 1.2mb. Is this above limit ?

  • I have sent an email with three attatchments ( all photos ) with a total size of 6.9megabytes and this was successful.!! However when sending just one photo of no more than 1.3mb in size ( to the same address as the others were successfully sent ) it failed to be delivered due to large file size? I find this a bit odd. Does any one know the best way of sending photos as attatchments in normal everyday emails that can avoid this pain in the backside happening.

  • Answer:

It is possibly the recipients e-mail box that is full. Most are restricted to 10mb so your earlier mail plus a couple of others might have filled it. If you can speak to them on the phone ask them to download their mail which will empty their account and try sending it again

I avoid the limitation entirely by uploading the images to Photobucket and then invite my friend to view the images. One of my friends is on dial-up and finds this to be extremely hekpful.

Stick it in a zip-file and attach to your email :-)

As for the best way of sending photos as attachments in normal everyday emails and avoiding this pain, you might wanna give Fluxify a try: http://fluxtools.net/emailphotos It's a web based application that makes it easy to resize and email photos, avoiding problems that often crop up with size limits on emails.
