How large a file can I email?

How can i send a large file over email?

To send those large files by email is not possible. You need a quick server which lets you upload the file and provides a link to the uploaded file. I suggest to use websites which offer that service: yousendit.com toldacuccot.hu (available in English also) and many others. 999 MB is pretty big, it is possible that you need to pay something (free plans let you tipically upload 100-500 MB files), but not too much.

you could try skype but they have a limit or split it into 250 4Mb files easiest would be put it on a dvd or flash drive and post it, the trouble is upload speeds are way slower than download speeds that's why torrents are so slow, if you both have regular modems you could do a file transfer over the phone line but again it would take hours

If you want you can use my brothers site to send files up to 2GB,.. its free and you can use your existing email. http://www.toobigforemail.com Also, please keep in mind that a 999mb file will take some time to upload.
