How do I clean out my attachment and photo files?

How can I stop pictures and e-mails from ending up in my yahoo attchment files,?

• every picture I come across online(even pop-up ads) leaves a photo or a little banner in my yahooo photos/attachment files,everytime someone sends me a greeting card,it ends up in those files,this is putting a major hurting on my virtual memory thing. Can someone tell me how I can deleate these files/pictures and send them to cyber-heaven for good?
