How can I open a Works Document attachment from my email?

• I'm trying to open a term paper that was sent as an attachment. The person used Microsoft Works. I have Works also. When I try to open the attachment it gives me a window that says "Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested internet site is either unavailable or cannot be found." She tried sending to me as a txt. doc. and wpf. How can I open it what do we need to do?

  Click on the attachment name as usual. You will get a window asking whether to Open or Save the document. Click Save. Remember what folder you saved it in. Exit the email program. Go into that folder and double click on the name.
