How can I set up an "away message" in Yahoo mail?

How can I set Yahoo! Mail to display attached graphics as part of the message?

  • I sometimes receive e-mails from friends that have graphics that have been inserted into the e-mail, usually a smiley or a small graphic. It shows up as an attachment which I have to download, which would be fine if it was a "real" attachment. I know that it has to be attached, but is there a way I can set Yahoo! Mail to display the graphics inside the message if I choose? I am using the new beta Yahoo! Mail.

  • Answer:

    > Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Mail page. > From the list on the left, click Spam. > In the “SpamGuard” section, find “Incoming Images”. > Uncheck “Initially block all images”. You’ll have the opportunity to un-block any images you’d like to see in any of your emails, but will be protected from spammers by this precaution. > Above the options area, click Save Changes. :)
