How do I set up computer to send file items through Yahoo Mail?

• I'm an old guy with an old computer and limited computer skills. My computer was set up by a skilled person. Original email was Outlook Express. About 2 years ago I changed my email to Yahoo Mail. When I try to send an picture or document from my files the old and unusable Outlook Express box pops up. How do I set up computer so I can send file items using my Yahoo Mail?

Since you mention Outlook Express and an old computer, I know that you are using Windows XP, which is what I also use, so these instructions will work for you. First, open your Yahoo Mail account and then go through the following steps. Click Start > Set Program Access and Default. (Bet you missed that?) Click the double down arrow for Custom. Click buttons to enable the options you want ... Set it to say 'Use my current' for all areas, and click Enable for all except Windows Messenger (There are far better ones, and this one is NOT the same as Windows Live Hotmail Messenger!)
