How do I save/transfer old Yahoo email to my computer?

Cant attach emails in my yahoo email on ANY computer. Yahoo troubleshooting did not help. what do I do?

  • My yahoo account cannot attach emails. I have multiple yahoo accounts for our office. This is the only account that can't attach files. All others can. Cleared cookies/temp files. Tried different browsers. Even tried on a different computer out of the office and it just simply will not attach files. Yahoo's troubleshooting did not work. Tried Yahoo Plus AND Yahoo mail classic. Any ideas outside of the box? Tried all the standard things as I've mentioned already.

    It seems to be the latest Yahoo glitch, anything attachment related seems to be very much pear shaped. Again nothing on the suggestion board but they have been notified. Edit: my wife can get attachments no problem on her account. Again on the same computer.

I tried on 2 other computers .. no good. I then opened a hot mail acct and transferred the entire incoming message there. No problem opening from hot mail. I will probably change all of my e-mail (personal and business from yahoo to hot mail.) Please let me know if you are able to solve the yahoo problem. Thanks

same here. I have a computer store and have been getting customer after customer calling me asking me why they cant attach a file. I logged into my account and I cannot either. The icon just spins. Must be an ajax error of some sort. Hope they fix it soon. Many are complaining!

I too have had the same problem since yesterday. I engage in a live chat with Yahoo yesterday where they indicated that they are working on it.(it is a Yahoo problem) The issue is that the problem is somewhat intermittent and affects certain accounts (and not others). I use the premium Geek Squad service for my PC problems and my normal Geek Squad tech tried a variety of solutions (none of which were successful). In the interim, the best solution has been to create a non-yahoo account and forward mail there to open attachments. I only wish Yahoo would post an update on the status of this problem.

Hi Folks I have tried all kinds of things including disabling McAfee, several different browsers, re-install Java, Classic and Plus, nothing fixes it. Curiously, certain graphics dont show up as well as making attachments as well as reading them. When I open Javascript Console in Chrome there may be a clue there, it appears to complain about two things, one is that the domain of the attachments (yahoo.net?) dont match the parent window; so it downloads but not as a MIME type of email, (or somethinhg like that) Glad to hear others having the problem, you know with the frequency of McAfee and Windows updates you never now who broke the problem Yahoo has rocked for many years, and Plus is nice, please fix this soon guys!!!!!!

I am experiencing the same exact problem, EXACTLY. I can't seem to get in touch with anyone from Yahoo to help me. If you find out how to resolve this problem can you please let me know...I have also tried every option under the help menu!!! I could scream!
