Why won't pictures forward in e-mail?

When I forward an email, the pictures in the original email frequently, if not always, disappear. Why?

  • pictures embedded in the original message are not forwarded on when using Yahoo email. I'm not sure any pictures have ever been forwarded on. Makes me look like a jerk to the people I've forwarded a message on to.

This is the response from Yahoo Help on the same subject. I don't think this will help, but you're not alone! we've investigated the issue you mentioned in your message. The good news is that we couldn't reproduce the issue as you described. It's likely that the problem you were having was a temporary one and shouldn't happen again. It's hard to know for sure, but the issue may have been caused by our system, by your web browser, or a problem on the Internet between your ISP and us. Whatever it was, we're sorry for the inconvenience. However, there are a few things you can try if you keep having issues. TRY A DIFFERENT INTERNET BROWSER Most issues with Yahoo! Mail can be resolved quickly by switching to a supported alternate Internet browser. Please refer to the list at the Yahoo! Help web site below for supported Internet browsers: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/errors/errors-19.html Did switching to a supported Internet browser help resolve the issue? We hope so! If not, please check out the next recommendation. TRY ANOTHER COMPUTER WITH A DIFFERENT ISP A good way to find out if this is a problem on your end or on ours is to try and reproduce this problem on another computer in a separate location away from the one you're currently using -- for example, on a computer library terminal or a friend's computer. If you aren't having the same problems there, that means there's a connection problem at the computer you're currently using. If this is the case, the issue is with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and you'll need to contact your ISP's system administrator or Help Desk to get it fixed. If you can access the account at your home location but not at work, your corporate computer security settings may be the culprit. Your company computer probably has a special setting preventing you from accessing outside the corporate network. If this is the case, you'll need to ask your network administrator to give you Internet access permissions. We appreciate you taking the time to follow through all these steps. Hopefully this issue's been resolved and you'll never, ever have to deal with it again. If you do run into this problem again, please reply to this message with complete details. Please be sure to specifically include which steps you've tried so far, and the results from each step. This information will help us assess the issue better, and hopefully we can then help resolve it effectively and efficiently.
