How can I "attach" a picture from "Pictures" to my Yahoo Emails?

Why cant I paste pictures into emails? (Yahoo Stuffups?)?

  • I used to be able to do this, but now if I want pictures with my emails I have to attach them. I used to be able to paste pictures straight into the content of my email so I could type little descriptions on the top or bottom. Does anyone else have this problem? It's bugging me so much =S Yahoo's been stuffing up alot for me lately, I cant see contacts (for chat) that are online, yahoo displays the '0 online contacts' message. Can anyone help? Pls answer if you've had the same problem/s or know how to solve them...

  • Answer:

You can have any photo including an animated gif that is already on the web. Place the picture on the web. For example Flickr or Photobucket. There is no way to have an inline image directly from your computer in Yahoo mail on the web. It requires a separate email program. For IE go to the picture and right click on it and copy. Now go to the email body or signature and paste it. For Firefox it is a little trickier. Go to the picture in another window. You must be able to see the picture and the email window at the same time. Drag the picture to the email body or signature. NOTE: The picture you are dragging must not be a link, eg. clickable. If it is a link the link address gets copied rather than the picture. The picture must remain on the web since a link is used and not the actual picture. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪

Either switch to Mac, or make WORD documents attached to a cover comment, as your emails, and you can put all kinds of stuff in a WORD file. But some boxes cannot open an attached WORD file and leave the pics intact. Another option is to make a screen capture program snap of a WORD document containing a pic or two, and have it set to make it a jpeg, which you then attach to a cover comment on an email. Google screen capture programs for this. BUT if you are hardcore like I am, put together a homemade website, where you can jam in a HTML version of any WORD document w/pics.
