Answer:
If you are doing it on yahoo while you are reading mail, you should see a paperclip by the top part of the addresses and stuff before you get to the body of the letter. Usually it is highlighted in blue and if you roll the mouse over it it will say this email contains an attachment. then you click on it, it may ask if you want to download it, depending on how you configured your email to work. I hope this has helped you!!

They are usually hyper linked so just click on it at the top of the email where it says the file name and then it will either automatically start downloading or you will have options that come up i.e. save, download, cancel. Click Download or save i think and it will open up. Then you can save to where ever you want.

If they don't open by just double-clicking them, then save them to some spot on your computer and use the appropriate software package to open them.

Usually double click them. Point the mouse over them and press the left mouse button twice, quickly. If that fails - you may have a "pop up blocker" installed, which is software which prevents onew web page openning another. If this is the case, hold down the Ctrl (bottom left) button as you double click.

ok go to the message and there is always a link (in msn it looks like a paperclip and in yahoo its at the end of the page) just click on the link and it will open. Hope it helped!

As has been said in the previous answers, double clicking on the attachment should open it. You may occasionally get a message that says (words to the effect of): "Cannot open this file as Windows does not know which program created it". If this happens it might be worth getting in touch with the person who sent it and find out how they produced the document and which application they used. If you don't have the same application on your computer, generally speaking, you won't be able to open that attachment.
