How can you send folders through email?

How do you send folders through email?

  • I have an album of music i would like to send to someone else, but it keeps prompting me to send a file. but i want to send the whole folder, not each file. thatll be 40 attachments! any ideas of how i can do this?

    look for a zip utility like http://7zip.com even zipped you may need to find an alternative method to sending it all at once. Most mail services limit the size of attachments.

Use WINZip to zip the files into a zip folder file. Then send the zip file via email. The zip folder should have all 40 files and compress it a few MB.

Hey Wutie, the best way to send this would be to compress the folder using WinZip or WinRar. The one to probably use since it is extremely user friendly and easy to use is WinZip. Plus, it is the most commonly used compression software if you have any questions. You can download the file here http://www.download.com/WinZip/3000-2250_4-10003164.html?hhTest&tag=lst-6&cdlPid=10831512 Being that there is 40 files, you will probably have to compress and send multiple zipped files. Doing them all at once will be too large for any standard web based email address. Most email address have limits on the size of files they can receive. You can also FTP the files. Sites like www.yousendit.com is a good example. I think you have to pay to use their software though. I hope I gave you enough information to get the files sent in a timely manor. Good luck!

you would have to zip it to make it 1 file, then mail it, whoever gets the mail will have to unzip it, (real easy)

when your on email there is a thing to click on sayin attach/attachments you click on tht then click browse and find you file then click ok and it should have attached to your email :)
