Why cant I view messages sent and received?

Can parents view my sent and received text messages?

  • i have tmobile and i wanted to no if theres a way my mom can go online and view all my sent and recieved text messages pleasee nd thankyou

  • Answer:

they cant view the messages and what they say, but they can view the phone numbers you send these messages to. They can also view the phone numbers of who sends you messages. As for the messages themselves, they cant see any of them. Even if they ask T-Mobile for special permission to view these, they still can't. In order to get a copy of the actually messages that were sent and received they would need to present either a court order, a police order, or something of the sort. (Meaning that they are for emergency invesigative purposes only)

If you're worried about it, then maybe you should consider your texts more carefully.

No there is no way they can see the messages you sent. However they are able to ask for a detailed billing report, but this will only give them the numbers and times you have messaged the person(s).

No, the only people who can do that are the police - and they would have to subpoena the phone company, with a warrant, to obtain your text message records. Your parents can only view the phone numbers you have sent/received text messages to and from, and the times that they were sent or received. They see this on the bill. That's it, though. Hope that helped :)

Erica

the only way she can view it is if she asks them to send it in the bill

Soccergirl

yeh, but they have to pay extra for it.
