How do I delete attachments from my mail?

How do you delete the attachments in Yahoo mail?

  • In my Yahoo mail, there is a section called attachments. I want to delete them all, but I can not figure out how.. I can get to the attachments & check them all like you are going to delete them,,,but where is the delete thing at.... all I see is to add to computer.....I want to get them off my computer...Thanks

    I just figured this out myself! Go to attachments and click message view. This WILL give you the delete option!

"Edd e" above is correct. You can't strip off an attachment from an e-mail. If you're looking to retain the e-mail but not the attachment, you can simply forward the e-mail to your same address. To do this, open the e-mail, hit "Forward" directly above the address, add your e-dress to the "To" line, and then click on "Remove" next to each of the attachments. You then go back and delete the original e-mail.

If I am answering this correctly these attachments are on the yahoo server available for you to download at which point you can save locally or discard. They appear as attachments because them came to you in an e-mail (not embedded). The last option is that you can (of course) delete the e-mail and the attachment but there is no space being freed up or taken up until you download them

If you would like to delete a photo or attachment it is necessary to delete the original email that contains the attachment/photo. you can not just delete attachment/photo.

you can not delete your attachment box like you can not delete your inbox folder.
