How do I add a photo to the body of my email message and actually be able to send it as viewable content?

I am not talking about an attachment. I actually want to insert a photo directly into the email message itself. I have tried and tried and the photos will not open for the recipient.

Answer:
<img src="imagelinkhere" border="0"> to get the image link, go to http://www.imageshack.us and upload the picture. and then copy the URL to where it says imagelinkhere. :D
