I cannot attach any of my files to email.

Unable to Attach Any Files to Email since 18th October 2011?

  • I am unable to attach any files to email. I have tried on multiple browsers and on multiple computers but the problem persists. I have tried using my other yahoo mail accounts (both classic and neo) and I am able to attach files there with no issues. the problems has been there now for over 24 hours and I am getting frustrated as no one @ yahoo seems to know about this issue. I hope the community will help me solve the issue. BTW, I have ensured that files being attached are very small files of the order of <1 Mb. I have noticed during my tests that on Ubuntu Firefox error is shown saying 1 file cannot be attached ... If someone has solution please get in touch.

  • Answer:

Same problem here since yesterday. I cleared out all my email folders, and was then able to attach 1 small file (though not download), but now it's reverted to not attaching or downloading attachments. Extremely annoying!

Same here, I've reached out to Yahoo / Service Engineer for help. My tech support worked on this issue for 3 hours with no resolution. They claimed it is probably the service path from Yahoo. I'll keep everyone posted.

It might be Java. Install the latest version. Uninstall the older version/s first, reboot pc, then install the new. (this is for a Windows based pc).

When this happened to me on Microsoft Outlook, the problem was that I had too many emails in my sent items. Sometimes if you save a lot of things with large attachments, you run out of space. That's an unusual problem with most email providers because they're quite large. But it's something to check. If it's full or close to full, any attachment might push it over the limit and so won't let you send. Try deleting a few and see if it will let you attach. Also, try to locate any one very large email file (photos or videos, especially). Good luck!

Again not an answer, but I've got the same issue. The only thing that I can figure is that last week I was on my e-mail at work and it was slow as hell and told me to try an older version of yahoo e-mail. I did and got it to work, then went back to the current version. This is the first time that I have tried to attach since then and am having this issue. Good luck getting hold of some customer service at yahoo. Thinking about switching to gmail, but its hard since this account is 10+ years old. Good luck with the issue...

Same here as well. Make sure everyone sends an email to Yahoo to let them know, I did last night.

I had had the same problem since yesterday.

As a temporary solution, click on the "attach large files" on your left side menu. It will take you to a service called "Usendit" and allow you to attach files.
