How do I block emails?

How do i block emails coming in from people i dont know like there emails address?

  • getting spam emails from loads off poeple saying i won this an that an loads of emails comin in from ghana an other countrys

    Copy/paste or enter the email address into the spam/block space on your mail options page.But in this real world your better off just deleting the emails I use to add them to the spam/block list.But there are just way too many you'll spend your life putting them on the list just delete them don't even open just as soon as you see it delete them.

Depending on your e-mail application or provider, you can setup filters. If you can see a pattern, a common word like "won" in subject of the e-mail, or in the body, add that word as a filtering criteria. For example in yahoo mail go to: options -> mail options -> filters -> add new filter you can filter by any words from the following fields: sender recipient subject body and select in which folder (spam!) you want to send them. Additionally you can specify from the drop down menu if the field: contains, does not contain, begins with or ends with... your word. You may use "ends with" on "recipient" field to filter specific countries... like Ghana. The process is similar for outlook, or whatever email application you may use. Some applications can block some specific IPs or classes... Be sure you don't want to receive ANY email that comply with your chosen criteria or else you may filter useful emails. Hope this helps
