Gmail account being used to send spam?

Someone is using my Gmail account to send out spam. The only way I know about it is because I get dozens of emails daily saying that an email i sent could not reach its destination - yet I never sent these emails. I also receive emails that I supposedly sent to myself to visit WebMD's website. Yet if you were to click on it, it just goes to some other site that sells generic medications. What's going on? How can I stop this? Does this person really have access to my account or not?

yes change your password and if you get a hold of the *insert expletive here* who is misusing your account, obtain his/her email & password and get revenge!
