How do I erase my entire Inbox?

Please help me!!!! Does anyone know how to erase/empty your entire INBOX other than each page one at a time?

  • Answer:

next to your messages (in your inbox) there is a box next to it which is usually what to click to delete. at the very top there is a box (above the other boxes. ITS ON THE SAME BLUE LINE THAT SAYS "FROM, SUBJECT, DATE ETC. THERE IS ALSO A FLAG SYMBOL. NEXT TO THAT IS A BOX. CLICK IN THE BOX AND A CHECK SHOULD APPEAR DOWN YOUR MESSAGES. i hope that's a good enough explanation =]]

In Classic Mail, go to Mail Options (in the upper right) and then click on General Preferences. Scroll down a bit, and under Folders/Search Results there is an option for how many emails appear per page. The most is 200, so while it doesn't show all of your emails, you shouldn't really have more then 200, and if you do, it's still a lot faster than only 50 or 25 at a time.

There should a small empty box at the top of your page. Cursor over it and click . A check mark should show up. Then scroll til you see the delete option at the top or bottom of the page and everything there should delete.

Isn't there a check box next to each letter, and a check all box at the top? Can't you just click that??? Good luck! Sorry if this isn't a help.
