I recently received this email on MSN. "Windows Live MSN Alert Confirmation Dear MSN User, This message is from our data base center to all Windows Live MSN account owners. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center. We are deleting all unused accounts to create more space for new accounts. To prevent your account from closing, you will have to update it below so we will know that it's a presently used account. To do this, You have to click on your reply button to reply back to this message and then you fill the information below. Full Name: ...................... User Name: ......................... Password: …..……................ Date of Birth: ..................... Country or Territory:.......... Account owner that fails to verify his/her account after two weeks of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently. Note: YOUR DETAILS WILL NOT BE SHARED. We'll keep making Windows Live MSN! the best email service around. Sincerely, Windows Live MSN Team" There was a grey box and MSN had the "Attachments, pictures and links in this message have been blocked for your safety. Show content | Always show content from [it was a person's name]@msn.com " Od that MSN would block their own content. This can't be genuine, can it? I notice the sender does not as for bank details but what could they be hoping to achieve by gaining what they ask for?

No...it's so obviously a scam of some sort. Go directly to MSN and ask them if they circulated this type of message to users. DO NOT ANSWER this email or fill in any of the information it asks for. Achieve? They have your name....your user name and your password. You'd be shocked to know what they can do with that information!!!

No email company will ever ask for a password in an email. It is a scam. ʎəɿʞɹɐq ̊ ͜͡● ̊
