If I block someone on twitter will they know I blocked them? ?

Like this girl is following me but I'm Not following her and I don't want her to be seeing my Tweets and I don't want to just tell her unfollow me so should I block her? Will she know?

Here's a better idea - Unfollow her, Block her and then change your username. Maybe you could also make your account private for a while. She would definitely find out, if she were to tweet you, because it would show her a message saying "the following user has blocked you", so just do what I said :)
