How to reactivate my Yahoo groups?

Got email from Yahoo!Groups asking me to reactivate my Groups email address. Is it legit?

  • I just wanted to make sure it is NOT a spam or a sneaky email carrying a virus. @_@ I don't want to open it unless I know it's safe! So, is it legitimate, the email from Yahoo!Groups asking me to please re-activate my Yahoo Groups email address? :-S Thank you.

  • Answer:

Sign in to your group and see if your email is bouncing. If it is bouncing, the message probably is legitimate. If it's not bouncing, just delete the message without opening it. Read more about bouncing messages at http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/members/members-17.html

Good question. Try using it first. Email the groups listing and test it. If there is nothing wrong save it in a folder. You can call Y and ask too. I have two yahoo accounts... one I didn't use for QUITE a while... when I did finally sign into it, it told me I had to reactivate it... but I never got an e-mail about reactivating... so try signing in to the group or with the yahoo id with the group to see what it says.

do you own a group and change the name or something-then go to your groups and see if there is a problem list in the messages there about it. If you do not own a group ask your groups own if he knows anything about it.
