Can you put a letter in your mail box to be sent to a different state?
-
I know you can put a letter in your mail box and then put the red flag up. But is that only for mail going to the same state. Because I have to mail something to Michigan and I live in NJ. If I put the letter in my mail box and put the red flag up, will it be delievered to Michigan?

Answer:
It will go wherever the address on the letter says. If it says Michigan it will go to Michigan.

Putting the red flag up just notifies the mailman that you have mail to go out. It does not matter where it is going, whatever the address, it will be delivered.
