How can one delete their Yahoo email address?

I now have a yahoo email address but I want to delete it and make a new one.?

I am getting unwanted mail and I think that someone is using my email address to write emails to other people revealing my personal information. I want to delete my current email address and make a new one. If that's possible I would like to know how to do it.
Answer:

Go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user and click the terminate button. Then you can sign up for a new account.

call yahoo would be my first suggestion and then create an alternative email address and be careful who u give it to.....

you need to make new acount and transfer e-mails just copy them as drafts
