How to confirm Yahoo mail?

HOW DO I CONFIRM THAT AN E-MAIL IS REALLY FROM YAHOO?

  • I recieved an e-mail that is asking for my user name and password. It says it is from yahoo concerning my e-mail account. How do i verify that it is really from yahoo?

It is 100% NOT from yahoo - Yahoo will NEVER ask for your username or password in any email. They have it every time you log in to your account. You would not have been able to read that message if Yahoo didn't already have your username and password This is a phishing scam - mark it as Spam and delete it

No need. It isn't. Yahoo NEVER asks for it and they aren't deleting accounts unless you 'verify' them. (Which is what the email you got probably claims) It's a scam to get access of your account. It is not from Yahoo. Yahoo would never ask for your user name and password -- it knows both of those. Do not respond to the email or click any link in the email. Just mark it as spam or delete it.

Well, first of all, did you ask Yahoo for something? Are you actually expecting an answer from them? If the answer to that is no, then this is spam. Yahoo DOES NOT contact you to ask for your user name and password. THEY ALREADY HAVE IT! Therefore, duuuh, this is spam.
