Can I block a website from sending me mail?

Yahoo is sending mail to my contacts with a website attached to it, can I somehow stop this?

  • I don't know exactly what's going on but recently Yahoo has been sending mail on it's on with a website (http://altheas.be/srs7.html) and I don't want my contacts clicking on it to find themselves somehow installing a virus or something else. The mail is usually not in my "sent" mail but this time it sent it to my own e-mail address, so I figured it to be an automated system doing it. I already changed my password, and tried deleting all my contacts but it won't let me. So I was wondering, how do I stop this from happening?

  • Answer:

First run all of the anti-virus programs you have on your computer one at a time. Next change your PW. Then email all of your contacts and tell them to do the same thing so no spam emails are sent from what looks like their email address. Also No Peace without Emancipating suggested to add the following to your contact list. [email protected] (use "a" as the name of the person.) [email protected] (use "z" as the name of the person.) This way the worm or whatever it is will think the email addresses in your contact list are invalid since the first one and last one are invalid.
