How do i get mail in my in box or spam folder when the mail isnt even addressed to me?

for example i got a mail addressed to [email protected] another example is To: [email protected] and To: [email protected] also I get mails to undisclosed recipients these are not my email address So how does it end up in my inbox/spam folder? if you can help please do and any tips for stopping it would be appreciated regards

Mass mailers use the BCC field for the list of addresses. It is hidden. One of the addresses is put into the TO field. Even through you do not see your address it is there but hidden. You can create a filter for all mail that does not have your address in the TO or CC field and delete it. The only problem is that you may lose any mass mailings from sites that you actually want. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪

Barkley Hound is right. Also do not open the spam and do not use any of the links in the email as this will alert the spammers that your email address is active and they will send you even more spam.
